Note sure if I’m the right tutor for you or your child?
I know that finding a tutor that fits well to your situation can be tricky. Schedule a free 15 min consultation call with me to see whether or not you’d like me to be your tutor.
Half the battle on standardized tests like the SAT and ACT is knowing what to expect. From test date to test date these tests are very consistent in form and thus very predictable. During tutoring I not only help you learn the ins and outs of the test, I also teach you the tricks and strategies most suited for your approach to the test.

Every student starts off by taking a diagnostic practice test prior to the first session. The first session is focused on reviewing it in order to find your strengths and weaknesses so we can form an effective and time-efficient plan to get you your highest score on the test. (If a student has recently taken an official test, that can be used in place of a diagnostic). Every session will be focused on filling content gaps, strengthening core math skills, and practicing applying the various test-taking strategies you will learn.
I charge $50 per hour for test preparation tutoring.
I recommend 1.5-2hr long tutoring sessions to provide enough time to review assignments and go over new material.
Every student’s situation and base skills are different. Having previous official tests or a recent practice test on hand at the first session will help me advise you on a proper study program. A general suggestion would be around 8-12 hours of tutoring to give enough time and sessions that I can give multiple rounds of feedback as well as give pointers on how to study independently.
All tutoring sessions are done online via zoom and an online whiteboard. *some exceptions are made for students who are in my immediate area in Tampa.
I mainly use the official practice tests and old official tests since they are the best resources for test-accurate questions. For the SAT, I have practice tests that I have carefully created to be as similar to official tests as possible. I also have several editions of different publisher test prep books to draw questions from.
I have a bachelor’s degree from USF in Secondary Mathematics Education. I also worked for 5+ years in a local tutoring center, teaching both in-person and online.
I do! While I specialize in math, I trained early on in my tutoring career how to teach through all of the sections of the SAT, ACT, and HSPT. Please ask if you would like to review other sections of the test.
While studying on your own for these tests is definitely possible, having an expert guide you through the learning and studying process saves you hours of your time. It also increases the maximum potential progress you can make within that amount of time.
Please notify me at least 30 minutes in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. I try to be as flexible and lenient with my scheduling, so please respect my time. Any no-shows will be charged for the session.
Email, Text, or Call me at any time to book a session. I will respond within 24-hours.
Still on the fence or have any questions? Email or text me any questions you have about tutoring. Or schedule a 15-minute consultation video/phone call to have a more in-depth conversation on your needs.
