1 on 1 online session: $40/hr
*Tutoring Sessions will be held through Zoom.
*Please notify me of any cancellations at least 30 minutes before the scheduled session. Any no-shows or late cancellations will be charged at the full rate.

What I tutor:
I specialize in middle and high school mathematics.
Each subject tutoring session I take inventory of current grades, missing and upcoming assignments, test dates, and evidence of independent studying. The core of the time will be spent on either review of assignments that you have specific concerns about, or on review of classroom instruction. The goal for every session is that you have a better understanding of the the math concepts and that you have the resources needed to continue to study independently.

Becoming an effective independent learner is something that many students don’t figure out until college. In fact, a lot of students don’t ever really figure it out and their studies suffer because of it. It is important to build key skills like proper time management, discipline, focus intervals, search engine fluency, self-feedback cycles, student-teacher communication, etc. in order to be successful.

I charge $40 per hour for subject tutoring.
Typical regular sessions are 1-1.5 hours in length. Having multiple shorter sessions regularly each week is more effective than a single tutoring session every so often.
All tutoring sessions are done online via zoom and an online whiteboard. *some exceptions are made for students who are in my immediate area in Tampa.
For regular tutoring, each session will track any assignments and grades, review the previous session’s material, work on any upcoming assignments or tests, then set a study plan until the next session.
For test or homework help, I will provide additional instruction, guided practice, and individual support.
*I will not be completing a student’s assignments for them.
I have a bachelor’s degree from USF in Secondary Mathematics Education. I also worked for 5+ years in a local tutoring center, teaching both in-person and online.
Please notify me at least 30 minutes in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. I try to be as flexible and lenient with my scheduling, so please respect my time. Any no-shows will be charged for the session.
